Dave Spicer is very active within the music scene in Australia and shares an equal love of performing, educating and business.
As a Singer, Pianist, and Songwriter, Dave has spent the last 25+ years supporting and collaborating with some of Australia’s biggest talents. He has numerous recordings, television, radio and festival appearances to his credit all over the world.

In addition to commissioned works, my compositions and arrangements continue to be presented and recorded by various ensembles. In my professional career as a pianist, accompanist, and singer, I have worked with an ‘A’ List of performers including:

Over 4 weeks I will teach you how to pick up a lead sheet and confidently play chords in a variety of styles without stopping! You’ll walk away understanding chords and grooves and be able to easily accompany yourself or your students.

In addition to being a fully qualified Vocal technician/pedagogue teaching at the Brisbane Conservatorium, I have also I have performed as a vocalist at many festivals including the following:

In this workshop series, I give you great exercises to improve all the areas that make a great solo which will improve your phrasing, outlining the changes, finding tasty notes, developing motifs, finding interesting rhythms and more. By the end, you will be a confident improviser with a working plan to take away so you keep improving!

After years of avoiding social media and working on other artists’ music, I am now letting the world in and turning my creative juices towards my own musical projects (arrangements and originals).

MUSIC & FAMILY LIFE Behind the scenes
I live on acreage outside of Brisbane with my wonderful wife and four beautiful kids. As a Dad I'm constantly running around doing 'Dad' things, like sitting patiently while my girls are doing Dance lessons, or cheering for my son on the soccer sideline. As a musician, I am always looking for opportunities to play and share my music. Sometimes it's all perfectly in balance and I feel like I've got it all together... and other times... {erm, coughs}.
